European Elections - 16 new MEPs

Fantastic result for the Liberal Democrats in the European Elections with 16 MEPs elected - compared to one in the last European Parliament.

All results on the mainland UK have been declared and it's clear that the Liberal Democrats benefitted massively from the clear message - we need to withdraw from the Brexit process and stay in the EU. The showing of Nigel Farage's Brexit Party is clearly disappointing. It shows that there is still a large number of voters who believe that the problems in British society can be solved by withdrawing from the European Union - it's going to be up to the Liberal Democrats to show them that there are other solutions.
