With storm-clouds looming and the shrill voices of right wing populism getting ever louder across Europe - it can be difficult to know what to do if you want to support the liberal democratic order that with all its problems, has been the foundation of our peace and prosperity since the end of the second world war.

But there is something you can do. If you believe in our values - join the party. Your subscription will help finance the fight back against those who see little value in democracy, liberty, social justice, preservation of the environment, human rights and international cooperation. You will be joining a party that places these values at the heart of what we do and also recognised the need for a strong defence and economic policy based on market principles. 

You will also have the opportunity to shape future LibDem policy as agreed by our Conference. Join our campaigns of special interest to non-resident citizens and work with people of good will to try and make our future brighter. 

You'll automatically become a member of LibDems in Europe by joining the Liberal Democrats with an address in continental Europe or Ireland (in France you will be a member of our sister party LibDems in France).
